My maternal grandmother did it all, or I thought she did; but, when teaching me to sew, her warning "...a stitch in time saves nine" has been a wonderful mantra for me.

Linking to RAZMATAZ Food Friday ...
Today I am doing a first for me...linking to RAZMATAZ and her wonderful Friday Food Photo Challenge.
You are so welcome...and "thank you" for trying to delete my #8...I sure hated messing up your lovely sequence:) Pumpkin Pie: baked pumpkin mixed with brown sugar, fresh eggs, half 'n half cream and Pumpkin Pie spices all mixed and folded into a lovely homemade flaky pie shell. LoL, now you know if you're offerec a slice:)
Thank you ladies...I know I just took a chance and linked in...you have been so gracious and kind:)
Knowing what I know, I would say if you want to try a slice of pumpkin pie, don't do it UNLESS you know that it is homemade(I used my previously frozen baked pumpkin; but canned plain pumpkin is good) I also used my own pastry pie shell...but, we love a good flaky crust. Grace, it was a bit overcast here when I set the pie to cool on my kitchen table in front of my windowed patio...it was a stroke of luck...and thank you for saying you like the backlighting in the shot...wow, made me feel there is hope:)
I will try each of the foods of this challenge if a recipe was offered. Again, I thank you, Gail
Linda, I have a baklava cookie recipe from the Sampler Girl...I am yearning to bake those but I know I won't be able to "not" eat them:( bet your cookies were yummy:)
Oh MY, I could eat that pie, even though I have no idea whats in it....it looks amazing.
ReplyDeleteI am not sure how to delete an entry...will go look and see if I can get rid of #8.
Thank you so much for joing in the challenge.

Looks lovely, Gail.. I don't like making pies.. Perhaps a full course meal or cheesecake..lol.
ReplyDeleteBlessings, dear...
Pumpkin pie is not something I am used to, hear of it often never eaten it.
ReplyDeleteI just made a pumpkin pie last week. It just sounded good with all this snow. Nice to see you here! Kit
ReplyDeletePumpkin pie is my favourite, although I only ever seem to have it in the fall. I like the backlighting you have in the shot.
