Happy New Year friends...:)

2010 wasn't filled with the wonders I had longed for but alas there were many blessings and I am thankful.

May 2011 be generous to us with many good blessings, joy in our hearts, the continued safety and love of our families...and  peace.

Wishing the company of those you love and a wonderful shared New Year's Day dinner :) ours is a traditional Black Eyed Peas cooked with Christmas Country Ham, collards and yummy baked sticky Sweet Potatoes and butter...of course, hot rolls dripping with butter....and Southern Sweet Tea!!

  6. Hi Gail, Happy New Year! Thanks for your comment on the vintage potholders. I have searched all over the net for a pattern for the vintage rose potholder with no luck. I know there are patterns out there. I see those potholders on ebay and they look newly crocheted. Gosh, making yours without a pattern, you were one talented little girl. I am still hoping someone will find a pattern. The red one, which is vintage, has that lacey look and the open center. I thought about crocheting the rose and the leaves and then trying to figure it out but I am not that talented so had to improvise. I am working on another one now and then I will do another version of the granny square. I want them for my kitchen so....I improvise. I am loving crocheting and hand sewing again. It is so relaxing and also one has something to show for their handwork.
